After a long hiatus, I am back. 2020 like many threw many curveballs. That said I am making it a priority to post more regularly, specifically at least once a week.
For this week I wanted to share some of my top books from 2020.
Ruined by Design
If you are involved at any level of design this book is a must-read. It is as much an ethics book as it is a design book. The author Mike Monterio is fantastic and I can’t recommend this book enough.
The Design of Everyday Things
It’s not often we look at everyday things and think about what design considerations went into bringing them into existence. That is what this book did for me.
David and Goliath
This was a great read that showed how those we perceive as underdogs aren’t always underdogs. They often have unseen advantages.
The Great Divorce
I really enjoyed Lewis’s book The Screwtape Letters. This book felt very reminiscent of that and had similar ways of explaining the unseen battles we all fight.
Letters from a Skeptic
This was a great book of letters that showcases a son engaging with his father to answer some of the harder questions about Christianity. This grew my faith.
I genuinely got great value out of each of these books. In a future post I plan to share the apps I am currently using on my Phone, iPad and Computer to help bring ideas to life. Be sure to check back.
